The Son of God Appeared

I want to wish all my very numerous, dear, beloved and highly esteemed friends and followers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in advance.

“Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!” —2 Corinthians 9:15

On December 25, we celebrate the birth of Jesus. It’s a time for joy! Our indescribable gift from God. Our reason for the season.

The Son of God appeared for one purpose and that's to destroy the works of the devil., what are the "works of the devil" that Jesus has in mind? The answer is clear; SIN - 1 John 3:5-8

In Luke 22:38, Jesus said 'it is enough' those burdens you've been carrying by yourself or dragging about, it is enough. He is the reason for the season, He came to help us bear our burden: that's why there is a Christmas - to remember that Jesus’ love and compassion for you will never stop - He was born to save you from the evil caused by those things. Maybe you’re lonely or sad this Christmas...or maybe you’re happier than you’ve ever been. No matter what, Jesus is always with you.

My thoughts turn to those who can't celebrate this Christmas because of some circumstances. I pray that peace will reign in your heart and your New Year will be filled with joy!

I am no Pastor, have been olAWAle: an obsessed follower of Christ.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Who is the robber? God or You

It's been very hectic for me in the past few weeks. Along with meeting the famous Olamide without knowing that we've been friends and He still remembered me and He called me by my first name. :d

I was scrolling through my news feed and saw the news about Mass killings in Peshawar school.
It is a very sad thing and I hope that those children and others who died could Rest In Peace. We are also with the parents who lost their children today! Stay strong my brothers and sisters, we are with you. This massacre was done by Taliban's terrorists. I hope that those responsible pay for their crimes.

Have been following Kenny K'ore on facebook ever since He came to my church in Ibadan, prior to that have listened to Him, he posts short messages almost everyday and sometimes I share them but this time I needed to post it for a larger audience like my friend did. Anyway have broken them down to parts which will run over my subsequent posts.

Open your heart to learn and study the Word. God bless you!!

I was not even a teenager when I heard a testimony about how a brother got a miracle gift of a tear rubber car because of his faithfulness to GOD. I promised myself, and GOD that I would do the same thing, for the same result. After several years of making that commitment, I still haven't gotten a car I didn't pay for, rather GOD had me give out my first, hard earned, second hand car.

How‬ did I get from serving GOD because I wanted a car, to the point where I served GOD by giving a car?
Romans 5:5,"And hope maketh not ashamed; because the LOVE OF GOD IS SHED ABROAD IN OUR HEARTS by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us."
I didn't give out my car out of abundance of money or because I had several cars;
I didn't give the car because I was pestered, cajoled, manipulated, or bullied to;
I gave the car because I felt compelled by the Holy Spirit to.
It was tough to obey, but I did, and I know that even the ability to obey is a gift from GOD, so I have nothing to boast of.
That car was my 'widows mite'.
Luke 21:1-4,"And He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury, and He saw also a certain poor widow putting in two mites.

So He said, “Truly I say to you THAT THIS POOR WIDOW HAS PUT IN MORE THAN ALL; for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for GOD, but she out of her poverty PUT IN ALL THE LIVELIHOOD THAT SHE HAD.”

So somebody asked me if I pay tithe; my 10%.
I answer now by saying NO, I REFUSE TO GIVE GOD 10%, WHEN GOD GAVE ME HIS 100%.
I have given my life to Christ, and that includes my money. ALL OF IT!!!
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of GOD, not by works, so that no one can boast.-Ephesians 2:8-9.
IF WE ARE SAVED BY PAYING TITHES, I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT YOU'LL NEED MORE THAN 10%.
IF PAYING 10% OF OUR INCOME COULD GET US INTO A SAVING COVENANT WITH GOD, JESUS WOULD NOT HAVE TO SHED A DROP OF BLOOD FOR HUMANITY.

Am I dying?

Why does it feel like something is incomplete. The scent of someone lingers on in my breath. Every night, I feel empty. When in love, we think we've come to an end of it but sometimes, who we think is the right person may not be. Have been in a pit, I'm trying to get out of it, trying hard not to go back to it even though it's hard trying. (I need a tight hug now!)

There are those times in your life when you feel you can fly. You feel there's something in the universe that's made just for you. That night was made just for me. The morning after turned out to be even more beautiful than I ever imagined it to be. A new dawn! 'That night'

In retrospect, I do feel that maybe I said too much that night but I do hope, someday I'd be understood. We are no longer friends but I miss it, I wish I never said it.

Peter quoted Psalm 55 of verse 22 in 1 peter 5:7, "cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee." The most difficult thing is to forgive someone. I have learnt to live with the pain of losing someone I love. Proverbs 25:20-21; I have no enemies, I have learnt to forgive quickly, I don't get angry anymore, I pray immediately. I try not to heap coals of fire upon anyone's head.

True confessions, make great decree upon thy self and like David said "I'll declare the decree." What you'll be is in your words.

Blood coming out of my nose, 'am I dying?' or am I getting the healing have been expecting?...

An old woman told me that "Wale, one has to be careful not carefree". but why careful?, what is the difference? Why the word 'careful'.

We need to stand up for what is right, stand! I need to breathe, I am tired of norms and cultures. I wonder why education? Why do I have to go to school? Why do I have to have a degree? I need to be me, just me. Each day, I am sorry about how my life is going.

In Matthew 28:20, Jesus said 'I am always with you'. Always; according to encarta - throughout all past time or all future time, or for as long as anyone can remember and as long as anyone can foresee. Jesus further said in John 15:7 'if you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you want and it will happen to you'

A lot to talk about...

Not everything changes

How do I begin to live a life? Is it by changing the name of my blog to olAWAle, four small capital letters and three capital letters; all of which are in the middle of the small ones, any meaning? Selah!

Change, they say, is the most constant thing in life. Guess what? Everything changes, but God does not change.

Numbers 23:19 NIV; God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

It has been 335 days gone in our present past, we have just 30 days more to 2015. What has changed? I wonder if somethings have? How many shortcomings? How many times? Have you finished the bible again or yet to? How many conversation did you have with your creator this year? I am guilty myself! x_x

Cinematography :), that is my new found love; simply because have been watching a lot of movies and I am so much in love with those works or probably because I have great passion for art. I am into photography - I have so many articles on it. Searching for a very good photography school or probably have an internship with an A-class photographer like Shola Animashaun or T.Y Bello etc I dream a lot.

Proverbs 10:15 NIV; The wealth of the rich is their fortified city, but poverty is the ruin of the poor.

Why the above verse? Why the word 'ruin'? KJV used destruction as well as NLT. Let me leave it like that, all I know is that, being an indigent doesn't make you less ambitious.

I stopped at series III of my fighting temptation, I have four to go. I lost it along the line, striving hard to get it back. I am lost but now, I am found. :)

Everything changes...
God does not change!

Jingle bells!!!
