Waiting on God

Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” Psalm 27:24

Do you ever feel like asking God. “What is taking so long? When will things change?”

If God is perfect, as the Bible says, then His timing must be perfect. And sometimes it takes a long time to hear from God. That can be discouraging. But the Bible also says not to worry and to have faith. So, be strong and wait for the Lord. He will never abandon you.

We need God in our life, that decision to follow God goes beyond our mere desire of 'just' following God.

God promised Abraham and Sarah, that He will make them so great that they will fill the world with people. God's plan is perfect, it is true - it will definitely come to pass. Sarah tried playing with God's wisdom by giving out her maid to her husband as 2nd wife. (Which woman in her right sense will give out her maid as wife to her husband).

We are stubborn and full of pride that we neglect God in our life. John 15:5 - we need God to succeed.

Anyway, they had to wait 13 more years before the fulfilment of the promise of God.

"The question is not if we'll wait, but rather how we’ll wait. And I believe how will determine how long." She concluded by saying "Expect it to happen" and "be eager with faith." - +Joyce Meyer Ministries

Have come to know that God is with us whether we want Him or not.
Jesus said to be partakers of the Kingdom, we have to be born again i.e second birth. To be save is not just about joining a church or following a certain law, but be a body of Christ. To be born again is to know that we need help from Christ by accepting Him as your Lord and saviour.

You may be going to church and not be born again or you got cut off along the line. God wants to help you to help Him.

It's not hard to have Jesus in your life, just surrender to Him and by faith He will come into your life. He will take charge of your life. (Thank you Jesus)

The Bible say, if we call on His name, we'll be save.

I don't care which church you attend, so far we are all Children of God. We are one in Christ - walking in love. It should be all about Christ and not our denominations.

Father God, I love you. Jesus, I believe in you, cleanse me. I believe you died for me and rose from the dead. I believe in you and take you as my Lord. I release myself to you and, take me and take charge of my life.

Home coming...

It was one cool evening, Motunrayo tied her wrapper firmly by her waist with Bible, notepad and a pen on her right hand, she headed to the backyard to study for an hour knowing that her husband Tope wouldn't return from work until about 2 hours later.

She was deeply engrossed in the study and suddenly she checked her phone for time and decided to ring Tope and say hello.

Motunrayo: Hello oko mi (My husband)
Tope: Hi dear
Motunrayo: How is work today?
Tope: Fine
Motunrayo: where are you, still in the office?
Tope: Yes, (sarcasm)
Motunrayo: okay then, see you soon; just checking on you
Tope: I am close to the house (with serious laughter)
Motunrayo: What? Uhn? What did you say? Are you serious?
Tope: I am close to the house (with a serious tone)

Marathon race began...
Motunrayo packed her Bible and other materials in haste!

"He mustn't meet me in this way"

She ran into the living room, removed her wrapper, changed to an evening gown. She rushed into the kitchen to do her dirty dishes and dried the bathroom floor. Panting and smiling she picked up her broom to sweep the bedroom, living room, kitchen and their balcony, thereafter she sat down and expected the return of her hubby.

Why the hurry and scurry?
Motunrayo knew her husband hates the house being dirty. Thinking he wouldn't come home till around 7-8pm, she flaunted all his dislikes.

And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through. Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not. (Luke 12:39-40)

Can you now see the reason why no man is permitted to know the time for the second coming of Christ! His coming is like a snap.

Many including ME will live in sin and disdain God's order only to quickly seek re-dress when the day draws closer. Unfortunately and good for us, none of us will have the time for repentance when rapture suddenly comes upon us! It will be too late!

Jesus second coming is too close; It is too risky to live in sin because there won't be the time to put off the filthy garment of sin, secret and dirty life, wet and lukewarm christianity, there won't be a time to go pay back all we stole, no time to forgive those we held in the captive of unforgiveness, no grace to greet those we are keeping malice with, no chance to pray for forgiveness of those secret sins, no time to make amends after rapture.

No repentance after rapture or death!
